Gamers Baseball a.k.a. Gamers/NIKE RBI, is a program designed to provide greater access to baseball and softball for Alaskan kids. Our program is called Gamers baseball because we wish to develop and attract kids who love playing in baseball and softball GAMES. The driver of our catching philosophy is this our training mostly supports a group or team dynamic. We do offer private and small group lessons but this is mostly done with the team gaol of developing the total player. In other words, we work to develop skill sets that better help young players to thrive on teams at their respective age group.

We offer training programs on a year round basis to support developing Alaskan players around our climate restrictions.

Gamers Nike RBI Early Summer Program

We will be running an outdoor instruction summer program that will take place at Mountain View Lions park as well as at our Mountain View Indoor Baseball and Softball facility. Our summer program is an opportunity for players to get quality skill training repetitions during the summer months. Providing the summer program also gives our coaches the opportunity to organized players at age groups (Grade School Ages 6-11, Middle School Ages 12-14, High School) and skills levels (Intermediate, Advanced) on to summer teams which enhanced our ability to offer skill development and situational awareness.

Our aim is to offer a summer program that resembles our Fall, Winter, and Spring programs in the A) we have enough players to offer games, and B) We have the ability to separate players by skill level, which also us to progress worthy players to higher level technical coaching. Skill level assessments will be offered by our coaches in the first two weeks of practice and offered to parents through our email and text message communication channels.

Our summer program is separated into two sessions, which are early summer (Late May through Early July) and late summer (Mid July through Late August).

Opportunity for Travel

Players from our high school and middle school program will travel to the MLB Nike/RBI Western Regional to represent Alaska in these divisions:

Boys Senior Baseball (Ages 16-18)

Boys Junior Baseball (Ages 13-15)

Girls Softball (Ages 13-18)

This tournament will take place to either Portland or Denver July 16-18, 2026. The winner of the tournament will have an opportunity to participate in the MLB/Nike RBI World Series in Vero Beach Florida.

Notes: There are talks of a 12U travel to Seattle over Memorial Day weekend. Organizationally we have no other plans to travel with teams this summer. We will begin the process of building teams for the 2026-2027 school year starting during our late summer program.
