RBI Alaska is a Major League Baseball affiliated program supporting urban and rural youth baseball and softball players in Alaska. Many kids statewide find it difficult to participate in baseball and softball due to the geographic, economic, and climatic challenges of living in Alaska. The cost of participating in baseball and softball programs is extremely high due to rental fees for indoor field facilities, which are required for training during winter months. Players who wish to explore sports program opportunities beyond those offered in-state also incur the high cost of attending travel events. Prohibitive costs restrict a large percentage of Alaskan families from participating in baseball and softball. RBI Alaska works to reduce or eliminate the barriers to participating in these sports. We support Alaskan families by creating low-cost baseball and softball programs for kids, including fun and informative camps and travel events.
Our mission is to provide a subsidized program leveraging community, volunteer, and financial support and offering experienced, positive mentors to help Alaska's young people reach their life goals through sports.
